Covid19 – how HAZEMEYER adapted to the urgent hospitals needs?
Postd at 3 April 2020 in News.
In the current context, energy distribution is essential, that is why at Hazemeyer we remained open from the beginning of the containment by adapting to the new French State instructions. As the hospital sector is our partner for many years, we mobilised and set up a dedicated organisation to treat their requests as a priority.
Hospitals need to quickly set up new test or intensive care rooms for people infected with the Coronavirus as well as modifying their infrastructure to increase the number of intensive care beds. Our other priority is to meet requests to secure installations (installation of lightning arresters to avoid power outages and risky situations in case of thunderstorms) thanks to our service teams that are always mobilised.
A week ago, a Paris hospital customer contacted us with an urgent need to increase the capacity of his Liberty switchboard. The objective was to power a Covid19 test room. Given the current context, we mobilised all our resources to take this request into account as a priority and ensure the study, manufacture and on-site installation of the solution in one week instead of the usual six. In half a day, we was able to launch the operation with the design office, the procurement department, to mobilise the necessary resources as well as our Hazemeyer Services teams. Indeed, our teams are currently active to ensure the service continuity to our customers.

Electricity distribution is essential, even more so in times of crisis. Our employees are mobilised to take action in emergency situations, both in France and abroad.
